Keeping two universities in session through the pandemic, remotely
EdTech
Proptech
01Problem
Two universities needed to run classes, tests, and exams without a physical campus, on a timeline set by a public health emergency, not a product roadmap.
02Constraint
The LMS had to work for students and instructors with wildly different levels of comfort with technology, delivered and supported entirely by a distributed team.
03Decision
Managed development and delivery of the Academy's Edutech platform end-to-end: registration, payment, learning activities, assignments, tests and student-instructor communication. Separately led a facility-management system project and taught web development and Azure cloud technologies.
04Tradeoff
Speed mattered more than polish during rollout: shipping a working platform fast, then iterating on curriculum design and UX based on real usage rather than waiting for a complete v1.
05Result
The Edutech platform hit a 95% student satisfaction rate, the separate facility-management system optimized those processes by 68%, and client satisfaction across projects rose 57%.
